Tackling present-day environmental problems, such as biodiversity loss, pollution, water scarcity, overfishing and climate change requires paying close attention to environmental governance. Environmental governance refers to the set of formal and informal regulatory processes, mechanisms and organisations that affects environmental actions, and, consequently, the condition of the environment. Environmental governance includes, for example, international conventions and treaties, national legislation, state and local policies, community-based initiatives and social norms, which influence how humans use and manage the environment. In this context, the purpose of this website is to share information and my thoughts on environmental governance with aim of communicating and engaging with the general public, students, decision-makers and other academics.
